Au contraire que Mme. X, M. X n'a aucun interêt à re-dire son experience. Il n'a jamais eu l'idée de tenir un journal. In ne veut même pas se dire a soimême comme un autre ses propres experiences. Il trouve que l'idée même d'experience est faible, fugace, absurde parce-que trop subjective. Quand le besoin de narration l'envahit, il prefère envoyer à l'arrière-garde une carte postale sur laquelle, au fusain, il a paint sa propre tranchée comme en divisant à toujours les rues d'une ville.
